The US ambassador to Tel Aviv, Mike Huckabee, said in remarks published on Saturday that Israel has a “religious right” to control most of the Middle East.
During an interview in Tel Aviv, American journalist Tucker Carlson asked the ambassador about the concept of “Greater Israel,” referring to Genesis 15, which describes God’s dialogue with Abraham about the gift of land “from the Nile to the Euphrates,” and inquired whether he agreed with the idea that Israel had a right to lands that included Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon, as well as parts of Saudi Arabia and Iraq.
Huckabee added during the interview with Carlson: “It would be nice if they (Israel) took over everything (the entire Middle East).”
