Data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed that the United States did not import any crude oil from Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Libya during the week ending, after recording varying imports from these countries in previous weeks.

According to data seen by Shafaq News Agency, US imports of Iraqi crude oil reached zero during the week in question, after recording 67,000 barrels per day in the previous week. Washington also did not import any quantities of Saudi oil after imports reached 155,000 barrels per day in the previous week, while Libya continued at a level of zero imports.

Canada topped the list of the largest exporters of crude oil to the United States with an average of 3.829 million barrels per day, followed by Venezuela with 414,000 barrels per day, then Colombia with 211,000 barrels per day, Brazil with 200,000 barrels per day, and Mexico with 145,000 barrels per day, while Ecuador’s imports amounted to 114,000 barrels per day.

Over the past few weeks, Iraqi oil exports to the United States have fluctuated, recording 48,000 barrels per day in mid-April, rising to 195,000 barrels per day at the end of the same month, before gradually declining to 76,000 barrels, then 100,000 barrels, and 67,000 barrels per day, until they came to a complete halt in the latest weekly update.
