The head of the National Coalition, Iyad Allawi, revealed that the US side announced its exhaustion in Iraq and that it would reduce its interference in the country and the region.
Allawi said; For the program “Al-Mastra” broadcast by Al-Furat satellite channel on Monday evening, he “met two ambassadors, one of whom is close to the United States of America, who confirmed that it is exhausted in Iraq and is not ready to continue the internal affairs of the country and reduce their numbers in the region,” noting that “the survival of the Americans was not organized through rules.” engagement and respect for Iraq’s sovereignty.”
He added, “I spoke with the American side about the big mistake in targeting the former commander of the Quds Force in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, the martyr Qassem Soleimani in Iraqi territory, and he was coming at the invitation of the Iraqi government.”
Allawi added, “The political environment, loose weapons, and chaos do not encourage holding early elections, in addition to the existence of loopholes in the electoral law and devices for examining polling results, and a lack of understanding of the nature of international monitoring of elections.”
And he indicated that “the elections lost their credibility in Iraq, as happened in 2010 with foreign interference regarding the largest bloc, and that he demanded in 2016 to change the electoral law for the integrity of the elections and to change the commission away from quotas.”
Allawi concluded, “The law of multiple constituencies is separated according to the parties’ vision, and it is shameful that a country like Iraq does not have a stable election law,” expecting “the participation rate in the elections will drop to less than 18%.”
He pointed out that “the family of security expert Hisham al-Hashemi sought after his assassination to leave Iraq due to the lack of internal security,” adding, “I no longer believe in the elections and the political process, and we will resort to demonstrations and escalation to expose those involved in the blood of demonstrators and activists and the assassination of al-Hashemi.”
And Allawi added, “We did not come to Iraq to kill the Iraqi people and we fought the dictator because of that, and we are against the run elections that are governed by corruption, political money, foreign trends and uncontrolled weapons, and we supported Mustafa Al-Kazemi’s government in his presidency of the government and the killing continues.”
He stressed, “The Popular Mobilization is respected by him, and I suggested to Masoud Barzani the formation of a leadership of armed forces, including the Popular Mobilization and the Peshmerga,” noting that “the Iraqi constitution did not give the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces general command, and that it was written on the whips of the Americans and quickly.”
Allawi commented on his withdrawal from the elections by saying, “I withdrew from the elections due to their lack of integrity;
Allawi concluded, “The fiscal policy in Iraq is good for maintaining the state budget, but the mistake of the concerned authorities is that there is no guarantee to compensate the fragile classes, and Baghdad is responsible for obstructing the agreement with Erbil, and all provinces must be looked at with one eye.”
