Al-Zaydi confirms receiving the protesters’ demands: Government doors are open

Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi confirmed on Sunday that he had received the demands of the protesters, while praising the peaceful nature of the demonstrations in Baghdad.
The Security Media Cell said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency that “Al-Zaydi expressed his thanks and appreciation to the peaceful demonstrators who came out today, Sunday, for the high level of responsibility and full cooperation they showed with the security services, which made great efforts to secure the demonstrations guaranteed by the constitution.”
She added, “Al-Zaydi confirmed that the demands of the demonstrators have reached him, and they will be considered and efforts will be made to achieve them, stressing that he will do his utmost to serve the sons of our noble people, indicating that the doors of the government will remain open to constructive dialogue that serves the national interest.”
On Sunday, demonstrations took place in Baghdad and the provinces, commemorating the “October demonstrations” of 2019. The demonstrators raised numerous slogans demanding a solution to the economic problems and distancing Iraq from the politics of axes.
