Political analyst Sabah Al-Tai said that the crack within the tripartite alliance and the dispute between Al-Halbousi and Al-Zamili will strip Barzani of the dream of obtaining the presidency, pointing out that achieving two-thirds of the tripartite alliance has become impossible.
Al-Taie told Al-Maalouma, “The dispute over power within the House of Representatives between the president and his deputy will negatively affect the form of the alliance between the Sadrist bloc and the Sovereignty Alliance, especially with the withdrawal of some Sunni representatives and their joining the coordination framework.”
He added that “the cracking of the tripartite alliance will not affect the constituent elections in terms of positions with regard to the presidency of Parliament as well as the ministers, but it will exclude Masoud Barzani from the presidency of the republic.”
