Shafaq News/ The leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, announced on Tuesday the postponement of a demonstration scheduled for next Saturday, until further notice.
Al-Sadr said in a statement, “We continue to reform and continue to revolt against your corruption, you corrupt ones, and your policy of imitating our steps is evidence of your bankruptcy and insistence on your corruption.”
He added, “If you are betting on (civil war), then I am betting on preserving (civil peace) and that Iraqi blood is precious, rather more precious than everything, but I am out of love for Iraq and love for its people and its sanctities… I announce the postponement of the Saturday demonstration until further notice, in order to fail. Your malicious schemes, so that I do not feed your corruption with the blood of Iraqis, many of whom have fallen victim to your corruption and desires, and for the leaders of corruption to continue to wreak havoc on the land.”
