Hussam al-Rubaie, a leader in the Coordination Framework, revealed on Saturday the steps the framework is taking to nominate a new prime minister. He emphasized that the next government will face difficult challenges that the previous government, headed by Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, failed to address.
Al-Rubaie told the Information Agency that “the Coordination Framework has established clear mechanisms for reaching a consensus on the next prime minister, in line with the current political situation.” He explained that “the challenges awaiting the new government relate to economic, service, and security issues in which the previous government did not achieve tangible progress.”
He added that “the next phase requires a strong government capable of confronting internal and external pressures and providing practical solutions to the accumulated crises.” He stressed that the framework seeks to form a government that meets the aspirations of the people and responds to the demands of the current stage.
