The Kurdistan Democratic Party revealed, on Wednesday, a new scenario, which is to keep the outgoing Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi in his position with a cabinet reshuffle.
Democratic Party member Mahdi Al-Faili said in a statement to “Al-Maalouma”, that “there is difficulty in reaching an agreement on the majority government. We have many options within the tripartite alliance or the National Salvation Alliance.”
He added, “Dissolving Parliament at the present time is very difficult,” noting that “the scenario of retaining Mustafa Al-Kazemi with a cabinet reshuffle is one of the options of the tripartite alliance.”
Al-Faili pointed out that “the National Salvation Alliance has the majority in parliament and is able to pass decisions within the parliament.”
