The head of the Al-Bayan parliamentary bloc, Abdul Amir Al-Mayahi, revealed on Thursday the most prominent laws currently under political discussion, aimed at reaching agreements for their passage in the coming period. He indicated that the oil and gas law is at the forefront of the laws proposed for debate.
Al-Mayahi told Al-Maalomah News Agency, “There are a number of important laws currently being discussed politically among various parties to reach understandings that will contribute to their passage and approval.” He noted that “the Parliament attaches great importance to these laws.”
He added, “Among the most prominent laws being discussed is the oil and gas law,” explaining that “this law is considered one of the important issues that requires political and legal agreements to resolve.”
Al-Mayahi clarified that “the next phase requires intensifying dialogues and discussions among political forces, especially regarding laws that touch upon important economic and administrative matters, in order to create the appropriate conditions for their approval within the Parliament.”
He pointed out that “resolving contentious laws would strengthen legislative work and advance efforts to address a number of outstanding issues,” stressing the importance of continuing discussions to reach agreements that would facilitate the passage of laws in the coming phase.
