Karam Al-Khazali, a member of the Wisdom Movement, confirmed that the issue of the Prime Ministership differs from the rest of the presidencies, as it is limited to one candidate within the current political understandings, indicating that the announcement of the name will take place during the upcoming constitutional entitlements.
Al-Khazali told Al-Maalomah that “the position of Prime Minister is limited to one candidate, unlike the rest of the presidencies, which are still subject to competition and understandings between the political blocs,” indicating that “the name of the Prime Minister will be officially put forward during the session to elect the President of the Republic.”
He added that “the coordination framework will clearly announce the name of the prime minister candidate at its next meeting, after settling a number of details related to political agreements and ensuring the smooth passage of the government within parliament.”
Al-Khazali pointed out that “the option of a compromise candidate is still on the table within the coordination framework, in case political changes or objections arise that may hinder the passage of the current candidate,” noting that “the next stage requires a figure capable of managing internal balances and dealing with regional and economic challenges.”
