(Baghdad: Al Furat News) Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi said that “the terrorist act that targeted the Kurdistan region aims to create chaos and shuffle the cards,” referring to the bombing of Mahtab, Erbil International Airport and its approaches, Monday evening, which resulted in casualties.
Al-Kazemi said during the cabinet session today, “This terrorist act comes with the great efforts made by the government to calm the situation in the region and keep the country away from conflicts and that Iraq should not be a back garden for it.”
He added, “We have directed a joint investigation between the federal government and the regional government to arrest the criminals.”
Al-Kazemi pointed out that “our heroic security forces managed to arrest the gang (death squads) that had killed a number of citizens, activists and media professionals in Basra.”
He stressed that “the government will not forget the blood of the citizens and those who killed them, and we are determined to move forward in this aspect.”
