MP Mudhar al-Karawi confirmed on Saturday that Iraqi oil fields have returned to full production capacity within 24 hours.
Speaking to Al-Maalouma, al-Karawi explained that “production at Iraqi oil fields, whether in the southern regions, the Middle Euphrates, or Kirkuk and other areas, has resumed at maximum capacity, aiming to restore production levels to their pre-Gulf War state.”
He added that “a number of giant oil tankers are currently waiting to load millions of barrels,” noting that “the return of Iraqi oil production to its normal levels may take some time, but the technical and engineering teams at the oil fields are working in close coordination to gradually increase production.”
Al-Karawi indicated that “reaching production close to four million barrels per day again will take time, but the efficiency of Iraqi personnel is capable of achieving this goal and restoring stability to production levels in the coming period.”
