Zuhair al-Jalabi, a member of the State of Law Coalition, warned against any attempt to repeat the conspiracy that occurred during the confidence vote session for al-Zidi’s government, noting that repeating this scenario would mean the early end of the government and parliament. Al-Jalabi told Al-Maalouma, “What happened in the conspiracy during the confidence vote session for al-Zidi’s government must not be repeated in the coming days when the vote on the remaining ministerial portfolios is held.”
He added, “The confidence vote session scenario involved a power struggle through the execution of a conspiracy by parties within the coordination framework with parties within the Sunni bloc, represented by al-Halbousi, who acted as a blocking third against the ministers of the State of Law Coalition.”
He explained that “the smiles exchanged in meetings that appear before the media are not genuine, especially since there are disagreements and a lack of trust between the political parties, even though the political agreement was completely different from what happened during the confidence vote session for the government,” warning that “the government and parliament will end prematurely if attempts to impose wills continue.”
