Al-Hakim calls for leveraging the international “acceptability” enjoyed by Al-Zaidi

On Sunday, Ammar al-Hakim, head of the National State Forces Alliance, called for leveraging the regional and international acceptance enjoyed by Prime Minister-designate Ali al-Zidi, stressing Iraq’s need for openness in a way that guarantees its interests and sovereignty.
This came during his meeting with President Nizar Amidi, where the two sides discussed developments in the political scene in Iraq and the region, and ways to complete the constitutional requirements and form the next government, according to a statement from Al-Hakim’s office, which was received by Shafaq News Agency.
Al-Hakim stressed the importance of supporting Al-Zaydi in completing his mission and appointing ministers, emphasizing the need to nominate competent individuals to provide the necessary services to Iraqis.
He pointed out that the next government will face major economic and financial challenges, which requires supporting and enabling it to implement the necessary reforms.
Al-Hakim also stressed the importance of integrated performance between the executive and legislative authorities to pass important laws during the next stage.
