The Al-Fateh Alliance confirmed, Tuesday, that it is not ready to vote on the budget at next Saturday’s session in light of the dollar’s exchange rate remaining the same.
“The differences that caused the parliament session to be postponed are the region’s share of the oil sent to Baghdad and the Kurdistan government’s refusal to deliver the quantity demanded by Parliament,” said a member of the coalition, MP Hamid al-Mousawi, in a press statement.
He added, “The other point of contention is between the blocs and the government, as the Al-Fateh Alliance refused to pass the budget in light of the government’s insistence on the exchange rate remaining within the new price of $ 145.”
He pointed out that “the Shiite representatives, not the Shiite blocs, shared the opinion of Al-Fateh and joined the category of those who refuse to vote on the budget, except after reducing the exchange rates to the old or average pricing.”
