Haider al-Asadi, a member of the Azm Alliance, stressed on Monday the importance of expediting the completion of the remaining ministerial cabinet, noting that some blocs have a desire to change the proposed names in order to accelerate the resolution of ministerial portfolios.
Al-Asadi told Al-Maalouma that “there is an urgent need to expedite the completion of the government formation process and finalize the selection of candidates for the nine remaining ministerial portfolios in the government cabinet.”
He added that “there are parties benefiting from the management of some ministries by proxy despite having other portfolios, and this is what is pushing the Al-Azm Alliance to demand the acceleration of the completion of the government cabinet and the complete resolution of the ministerial positions file.”
He explained that “most political forces are continuing negotiations to finalize the remaining cabinet positions, and most blocs are willing to change their nominees to ensure the remaining ministerial posts are filled.”
