On Monday, Uday Abdul-Hadi, a member of the Coordination Framework, ruled out the possibility of finalizing the remaining ministerial portfolios in Ali Zaidi’s government using the “single package” principle.
Speaking to Al-Maalouma, Abdul-Hadi said, “The meetings held in recent days between various political forces have contributed to narrowing viewpoints, and there is a preliminary agreement to finalize five to six ministerial portfolios and identify candidates for them.” He added that “the coming days will likely see the remaining portfolios finalized through the direct identification of names.”
He emphasized that “political forces are unlikely to resort to the ‘single package’ principle when proposing candidates for the remaining portfolios in Ali Zaidi’s government,” noting that “the next session of Parliament, which indications suggest will be held in July after the legislative recess, may bring further clarity to this issue.”
Abdul-Hadi pointed out that “there is still no agreement regarding the renewal of the security ministers’ terms, contrary to what has been reported on some websites,” stressing that “the next few days will reveal the names more clearly to the public.”
