{Baghdad: Al Furat News} A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee criticized the draft fiscal budget for 2021.
Committee member Ahmed Hama Rashid said in a statement that the Al Furat News Agency received, “The 2021 budget in terms of form is the most elegant budget since 2006 until now and contains a set of important reports on trade policy and the monetary budget …. etc.”
He added, “As for content {it is} the saddest budget prepared by the Ministry of Finance in terms of the magnitude of expenditures for a collapsed economy and the largest deficit that Iraq can only cover through harm to the people.”
The Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, announced yesterday, Tuesday, the extension of the current legislative term for a period of one month, in order to complete many important legislation for the next period, including the draft Federal Budget Law for the fiscal year 2021, which reached the House of Representatives.
