Abdel Samad Al-Zarkoushi, a member of the coordinating framework, confirmed on Friday that next week will witness escalating activity among political forces to resolve the nine ministerial portfolios in Ali Al-Zidi’s government.
Al-Zarkoushi explained in his interview with Al-Maalouma that “next week will witness escalating activity through meetings and communications between various political forces, including the Coordination Framework, in order to finalize the names of candidates for nine ministerial portfolios in Ali Al-Zidi’s government,” noting that “the Coordination Framework agrees on the necessity of completing the formation of the government, especially since it has a government program in light of circumstances that require important decisions, particularly in the files of finance, economy and trade, in addition to directly managing security files.”
He indicated that “next week will witness serious discussions aimed at reaching a final agreement, leading to scheduling a session of the House of Representatives to vote on the names of candidates for the remaining ministerial portfolios.”
