A member of the State of Law coalition - We will witness unprecedented unity within the framework on SaturdaySalah Boushi, a member of the State of Law Coalition, confirmed that the coordination framework is moving towards an unprecedented unity of position to resolve the issue of the premiership next Saturday.

During his appearance on the “Free Talk” program on Al-Furat satellite channel, Bushi said: “It is natural in the political process to have pluralism within the coordination framework, and the equation is that the closer we get to a resolution, the more the language of understanding increases and there is no language of escalation,” indicating that “there is room to restore the conviction of the political forces to choose the prime minister candidate, and the decision to nominate Maliki by the forces of the framework is still valid until this moment and until Saturday.”

He added that “the framework is going to establish its moral character,” noting that “the initiative to postpone the session by Al-Sudani came in order to avoid entering into a political deadlock.”

He pointed out that “until this moment, we have not been officially informed by any of the leaders of the framework that they have withdrawn from nominating al-Maliki, and whatever is issued by the Coordinating Framework by majority or consensus will be respected,” stressing that “the Coordinating Framework is the only body that issues the decision to nominate or not.”

Bushi continued: “We leave room for convictions to develop regarding the decision of the State of Law. We have no problem with names. Whoever comes with a majority within the framework is respected, and the State of Law is the first among them. We are not part of the problem, but rather part of the solution.”

He explained that “seeking political gains is normal, and everyone goes to the table of understanding in the end,” adding that “with differences, comments and reservations, the political leaders within the framework have no problems or disagreements, even if we disagreed at a time when we were allowed to disagree, but time is passing now and the rule of law will not delay the formation of the government, and this is what strengthens the power of the decision.”

Bushi concluded by saying: “On Saturday we will witness unprecedented unity within the coordination framework. We have a long-term vision and strategy for the government program. Political competition and rivalry are possible, but we must adhere to the limits of the framework and the unity of the framework.”
