A member of the Reconstruction and Development bloc - New withdrawals will shake the bloc due to unilateral decision-makingInformation / Baghdad…
Ali al-Fatlawi, a leader in the Reconstruction and Development Coalition, revealed the depth of the political crisis and the rift plaguing the bloc, emphasizing that the defection of prominent figures like the head of the Popular Mobilization Forces, Faleh al-Fayyad, and the bloc’s deputy head, Ahmed al-Asadi, will not be the last. He asserted that further withdrawals and defections will follow, shaking the alliance in the coming days.

Al-Fatlawi stated in an exclusive interview with the Information Agency that “these successive defections are a natural consequence of the lack of a genuine vision and well-considered decisions within the Reconstruction and Development Coalition, in addition to the efforts and actions of a certain political party that attempted to monopolize decision-making and exploit the bloc’s direction for its own interests.”
He added that “this unilateralism and attempts at domination have generated a state of insecurity and deep anxiety among the remaining forces and figures within the bloc, prompting key figures to decide to leave and withdraw.”
He indicated that “the continuation of these policies will lead the alliance to further fragmentation and a loss of political influence in the current landscape.”
