On Wednesday, the representative of the Sadrist bloc, Ali Hussein Al-Saadi, sent a message to the political forces that are “trying to disrupt the formation of the government,” while indicating that “the disruption will not last long.”
Al-Saadi said, in a statement received by “Nass”, a copy of it, (March 30, 2022), that “the political forces that are trying to obstruct the formation of the government must understand its true size among the Iraqi people, which was evident in the parliamentary elections.”
He added, “Disrupting the formation of the national majority government will not last long, with many constitutional solutions that will reveal that the house of the disrupted third is easier than the spider’s web.”
And he continued, “We pledge to our patient people that we will not allow the tragedies and calamities that Iraq has been subjected to, and we will not submit to the dictates of the East or the West, and the winds will flow as the ships of reform desire.”
The leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, earlier, reiterated his assertion not to go to form a “consensual share-sharing” government, noting that “the political blockage is easier than agreeing with you and better than sharing the cake with you.”
Al-Sadr stated in a blog post, which was followed by “Nass” (March 30, 2022), that “I will not agree with you. Consensus means the end of the country.. No to consensus in all its forms. in a consensus government.
Al-Sadr asked, “How will you agree with the blocs while you are arguing against all the components and all the partners you are trying to win over to your camp!!”.
Al-Sadr addressed the Iraqi people, saying: “Oh, the Iraqi people, I will not bring you back to your previous tragedies, and that is a false promise. The country will not be subject to subordination, occupation, normalization and quotas…and the people will never bow to them…and peace.”
