Informed sources revealed on Saturday that the Harir base near Erbil has been completely closed, and a warning has been issued against any aircraft approaching its airspace, amid a clear state of high alert.
The sources explained to Al-Maalomah that “the Harir base, where US forces are stationed near Erbil, has taken exceptional measures since the early morning hours, which included a complete closure of the base’s airspace and a warning against any approaching aircraft, in light of the activation of air defense platforms,” noting that “these measures came amid fears of it being targeted again, especially since it was the subject of repeated drone attacks in recent days.”
She noted that “all main gates to the Silk Road base are now closed, amidst a heightened security presence visible from a distance.”
