Shafaq News/ The Secretary-General of the Sayyid al-Shuhada Brigades, Abu Ala al-Walai, condemned on Sunday morning the targeting of the home of the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, and considered it a “condemnable and rejected” act that contradicts the “literature of resistance”.

Al-Walai, a leader in the coordination framework and affiliated with the “resistance factions,” said in a statement that Barzani “is one of the balanced official figures, and he has succeeded with his politeness and good character in building positive relations with various parties,” considering that targeting his house, days after a similar incident that targeted the house of Faleh al-Fayyad (head of the Popular Mobilization Forces), represents unacceptable behavior.
He added that this targeting may come in the context of “external pressures or messages,” especially in light of Barzani’s stances rejecting the provision of any facilities to the Iranian opposition to carry out hostile acts inside Iran.
Washington holds Iran and its proxies responsible for the attack on the regional president’s home.
