The U.S. Energy Information Administration announced on Tuesday that Iraq’s oil exports to the United States totaled more than 6 million barrels during February.

The administration stated in a table seen by Shafaq News Agency that “Iraq exported 6.552 million barrels of crude oil to America during February, down from 7.037 million barrels in January.”

She added that, “Iraq exported an average of 249,000 barrels per day of crude oil to America during the first week of February, while it exported an average of 371,000 barrels per day in the second week, an average of 160,000 barrels per day in the third week, and an average of 154,000 barrels per day in the fourth week.”

The administration explained that “Iraq came in fourth place in its exports to America during the past month, after Canada, which came in first place as the country exporting the most oil to America, followed by Saudi Arabia, and then Mexico in third place.”

According to the table, “Iraq came in second place among the Arab countries that export the most oil to America, after Saudi Arabia, which came first with exports amounting to 15.176 million barrels, and Libya came in third with exports amounting to 2.99 million barrels.”
