MP Jassim Al-Alawi, from the State of Law Coalition, confirmed on Thursday that the next few days will witness a tangible breakthrough in the process of forming the new government, noting that there are advanced understandings between the political forces to overcome the current stagnation.
Al-Alawi told Al-Maalouma News Agency that “the ongoing dialogues between the political blocs have begun to lead to positive results and realistic approaches aimed at expediting the resolution of outstanding issues,” indicating that “everyone is aware of the need to form a government capable of confronting current challenges and meeting the aspirations of citizens.”
He added that “the next phase will witness intensive efforts to finalize the names of candidates for ministerial portfolios according to the criteria of competence and professionalism,” noting that the “political atmosphere has become more conducive to reaching a final agreement that will end the state of waiting and begin the actual implementation phase of the government program.”
