Alawi - Al-Halbousi lost the trust of the leaders after his stance on Al-MalikiInformation/Baghdad…
Ali Al-Alawi, a member of the State of Law Coalition, confirmed that political parties and leaders no longer trust Al-Halbousi after his clear stance against Al-Maliki’s presence in power.
Al-Alawi told Al-Maalouma, “There are many political parties that stand with the State of Law Coalition, and there are more than 20 leaders of political blocs in Iraq who have ties and partnerships with the State of Law.”
He added, “These leaders are linked to the State of Law through their words, in order to advance the political program agreed upon by the political partners in the country.”
He explained, “Mohammed Al-Halbousi spoke out, opposing the appointment of the head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri Al-Maliki, as Prime Minister. In doing so, he did not oppose Al-Maliki as an individual, but rather the bloc and the name as its leader. Consequently, other leaders no longer trust Al-Halbousi and are now looking for other partners to form alliances with.”
