The Iraqi Trade Bank revealed on Friday a plan to increase the number of its branches to 70.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI), Bilal Al-Hamdani, said in a statement followed by “Mail” that “the bank has prepared a plan to increase the number of bank branches during the next five years with the aim of reaching more than 70 branches inside Iraq,” explaining that “when opening new branches, it is necessary to provide staff and funding.”
He pointed out that “the bank is currently working on opening branches outside Iraq, including in Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi and America, while the opening of branches in England and Brazil is pending a vote by the bank’s board of directors,” noting that “these countries have dealings with Iraq.”
He confirmed that “a branch will be opened in Saudi Arabia next June.”
