Kurdistan deposits 120 billion dinars in non-oil revenues into the Iraqi Ministry of Finance for the month of January

The Ministry of Finance and Economy in the Kurdistan Region announced on Thursday that the region’s non-oil revenues for the month of January have been deposited into the bank account of the Iraqi Ministry of Finance.
The ministry said in a statement today that an amount of 120 billion dinars, as non-oil revenues for the Kurdistan Region for the month of January, was deposited in cash into the bank account of the Ministry of Finance in the federal government at the Erbil branch of the Central Bank of Iraq.
The last salary paid by the federal government to employees and workers in the public sector in the region was on November 29, 2025, when an amount of 941 billion and 874 million dinars was deposited into the account of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of the Kurdistan Regional Government at the Central Bank of Iraq in Erbil.
Under the agreement between Erbil and Baghdad, the Kurdistan Regional Government is required to hand over oil and non-oil revenues to Baghdad, while the federal government is obligated to provide the region with its financial entitlements, particularly salaries.
