Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi revealed on Saturday that there are indirect channels of communication with the United States through third parties, while emphasizing that his country is open to any negotiation process based on equality and mutual respect.

Araqchi explained in an interview with Turkish media that “the United States is seeking to communicate with Iran through third parties,” noting that “his country is open to any diplomatic path based on equality and mutual respect.”

He added that “Iran is ready to communicate with the countries of the region in order to ensure security and stability,” welcoming “the efforts made by Türkiye to achieve peace and stability in the region.”

The Iranian Foreign Minister affirmed Tehran’s readiness to “adopt any agreement that guarantees the non-possession of nuclear weapons in exchange for lifting the sanctions imposed on it,” while stressing that “any attack that may target Iran will be met with a very harsh and strong response.”

On October 17, Araqchi pointed out that with the expiration of Security Council Resolution 2231 on October 18, 2025, Iran will only be bound by its commitments under the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, which does not limit the scope of its nuclear program development.
