Abdel Samad Zarkoush, a member of the coordinating framework, confirmed on Tuesday that the framework’s forces will not delay in officially putting forward their candidate for the next government presidency as soon as the president of the republic is elected.
Al-Zarkoushi told Al-Maalouma that “the framework forces will hold an important meeting at the beginning of next week, one of the items of which will be deciding on their candidate for the next government and announcing him officially to the public.”
He added that “all expectations are possible, but according to current readings, the announcement of the candidate of the framework forces may be made directly immediately after the election of the President of the Republic, who will task the candidate of the largest bloc with forming the cabinet, as he is the third part of the mechanism for forming the government in general.”
He indicated that “the framework forces are committed to the specified timelines, and the candidate’s name will be finalized through an official announcement by the framework forces, which is what everyone is waiting for.”
