Political analyst Qasim al-Tamimi believes that the next government will face internal challenges related to the budget and financial matters, in addition to external challenges related to the volatile situation in the region and how to keep Iraq away from its dangers.

Al-Tamimi told Al-Maalouma, “Iraq spent 2025 without budget schedules, and this will put the next government in front of financial challenges in light of the continued work on many projects that have burdened the state budget.”

He added that “the next government will face an external challenge represented by the volatile situation in the region, and how to ensure that Iraq is not harmed by these successive crises in the regional environment, in addition to developing a sound policy for dealing with the American side.”

He indicated that “Iraq will not be immune to continued American interference, which necessitates that the next government formulate a clear policy that protects Iraq from any challenges or tensions in its relationship with external actors.”
