A security source in Anbar province revealed on Thursday that US forces stationed inside the Ain al-Assad base building in western Anbar have mobilized all their combat capabilities without knowing the reasons.
The source told Al-Maalomah News Agency that “American forces stationed inside the Ain al-Assad base building in the al-Baghdadi district of Hit, west of Anbar, have mobilized all their combat capabilities for reasons that are unclear.”
He added that “American aircraft provided an air umbrella over the Al-Asad base building amidst unprecedented flights of warplanes and drones in the skies of Al-Baghdadi district, reaching the border strip areas with Syria,” indicating that “the Syrian Al-Tanf base took similar measures, while ground forces launched operations in the areas near the Trebil border crossing with Jordan for reasons that are unclear.”
He explained that “US forces conducted aerial reconnaissance operations covering the road linking Anbar and Mosul provinces towards the northern provinces,” emphasizing that “the security situation in all cities of Anbar, up to the three border crossings with Jordan, Syria, and Saudi Arabia, is safe and stable and has not witnessed any security breaches for years.”
