The exchange rate of the dollar against the dinar rose on Wednesday afternoon in the markets of Baghdad and Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, coinciding with the closure of the stock exchange on New Year’s Eve.

A correspondent for Shafaq News Agency said that the dollar prices rose in the Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya exchanges to record 144,700 dinars for 100 dollars, while this morning it recorded 144,250 dinars for 100 dollars.

The agency’s correspondent noted the rise in selling prices at exchange shops in local markets in Baghdad, where the selling price reached 145,250 dinars for 100 dollars, while the buying price reached 144,250 dinars for 100 dollars.

In Erbil, the dollar also recorded an increase, with the selling price reaching 143,550 dinars per 100 dollars, and the buying price reaching 143,450 dinars per 100 dollars.
