JERUSALEM (Reuters) – A senior aide to Mitt Romney, the Republican candidate in U.S. presidential elections on Sunday that Romney will support Israel if it decided that it must use military force to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon.

An aide on national security Romney Dan Senor told reporters traveling with the Republican candidate in his trip to Israel “if Israel was forced to take action on its part to prevent Iran from developing that capacity will respect the governor (Romney) that resolution.”
The statement was made prior to the scheduled meetings for Romney in Jerusalem with Israeli leaders.
