The Al-Fateh Alliance confirmed, on Saturday, that the lawsuit filed by the head of the coalition, Hadi Al-Amiri, is related to challenging the electoral process in terms of technical and cyber aspects.
The spokesman for the coalition, Ahmed Al-Asadi, said in a statement to “Al-Sabah” newspaper, “The lawsuit submitted by the head of (Al-Fateh Alliance) Hadi Al-Amiri is related to challenging the electoral process with regard to the technical and cyber aspects, whether related to the intersection of the fingerprint or the failure to close the boxes after 6 pm. Or in relation to the introduction of unsafe and unauthorized software from the inspecting company.”
Al-Asadi added, “There is a lot of evidence regarding the existence of electronic manipulation in the voting process on the one hand, and in the mechanism of calculating votes and announcing the results on the one hand.”
A state of anticipation and breathlessness prevails in the political and popular circles alike, pending the decision and ruling of the Federal Supreme Court, next Wednesday, regarding the appeals submitted by the “coordinating framework” for cyber violations and electronic manipulation of the election results.
