Shafaq News/ On Friday, the United States of America affirmed its commitment to the multifaceted strategic partnership with Iraq.
The US embassy in Iraq said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, “Today we celebrate the official anniversary of the territorial defeat of ISIS four years ago on the 10th of December, which resulted in the liberation of more than 8 million Iraqis and Syrians who were previously living under its control.”
“On this day, we remember the lives that were lost under the occupation of ISIS, and honor the sacrifices of everyone who struggled to liberate Iraq from its grip,” she added, congratulating the “Iraqi security forces, including the Peshmerga, for the exceptional progress made in fighting ISIS remnants.”
“As our Iraqi friends and partners look toward building a stable, prosperous, democratic, and united Iraq, the United States remains deeply committed to our multifaceted strategic partnership,” the embassy continued.
