Commission - Manual counting may change candidates votesShafaq News/ The High Elections Commission announced on Friday that the results of the manual counting and sorting may change the votes of the candidates.

The assistant media spokesperson for the Commission, Nibras Abu Souda, told Shafak News Agency, “The counting and sorting process may change the candidates’ votes if the result of manual counting and sorting differs and does not match the electronic counting and sorting.”

She added that “the election law stipulates calculating the result of manual counting and sorting after appealing to the stations,” noting that “the effect of the result of manual counting and sorting on the election results is unknown.”

And Abu Souda added, “After the manual counting and sorting of more than 2,000 polling stations ends, the commission will announce the final result of the contested stations only, and it is tantamount to an answer to the appeals submitted by the candidates.”
