Deputy Speaker of Parliament Bashir Al-Haddad announced, on Saturday, the results of the parliamentary ministerial meeting that was held at the Al-Rasheed Hotel to discuss the current year’s budget. Al-Haddad said in a press conference that “during the meeting, a detailed discussion and discussion of the articles and articles of the draft federal budget law for 2021, which are included in the agenda of tomorrow’s session, were also studied, budgets for service ministries and the disbursement sections for service projects in the event that the budget is approved.” He pointed to “the importance of approving the budget because it affects the general situation and is linked to the work of ministries and service projects and providing job opportunities for young people,” noting “the need to address high prices for food and commodities and find solutions and alternatives to the repercussions of the exchange rate of the Iraqi dinar.” He continued, ” Al-Haddad called on the political forces to resolve differences to reach a consensus paving the way for the passage of the law in accordance with legislative procedures and constitutional contexts in a manner that satisfies all parties and components and meets the needs of citizens in all governorates of Iraq. And on the share of the Kurdistan region, Al-Haddad said, “The Kurdistan Regional Government delegation approved the proposal of the parliamentary blocs approved by the Finance Committee regarding the region’s share of the budget for the year 2021.” Al-Haddad called on the political forces to resolve differences to reach a consensus paving the way for the passage of the law in accordance with legislative procedures and constitutional contexts in a manner that satisfies all parties and components and meets the needs of citizens in all governorates of Iraq.
