Harb - The calls to dissolve parliament a day ago are laughableToday, Monday, legal expert Tariq Harb considered that the calls to dissolve Parliament one day before the elections are something funny, in addition to being a constitutional violation, pointing out that these calls are intended to continue the power of the parties in Parliament to change the election results.

Tariq Harb said in a statement to “Tigris”, that “the calls to dissolve the House of Representatives one day before the elections are ridiculous, and they are an explicit constitutional violation that is not subject to interpretation or discussion . ”

He added that ” Article 64 of the constitution stipulates that elections take place within sixty days of dissolving the House of Representatives after a request from the Presidency of the Republic to dissolve it. The reason is to end the control and authority of the parties over institutions and reduce their pressure, and everyone who calls for this knows that it is a constitutional violation . ”

Harb pointed out that ” what is intended from the election date in conjunction with the dissolution of the House of Representatives is the continuation of the parties in power and Parliament, which affects and changes the election results in favor of the current deputies, unlike the new competitor who does not have any power . ”
