Representative Energy - Electricity rejected all proposals to improve production[Baghdad-Where]
Member of the Parliamentary Oil and Energy Committee, Mahmoud Al-Zagrawi, on Wednesday accused the Ministry of Electricity of rejecting all proposals aimed at improving energy in Iraq.

Al-Zagrawi said that we submitted two proposals to the Ministry of Electricity, the first related to establishing a refinery to produce white oil and dispensing with its import from abroad, adding that “the other proposal is clean energy as an alternative to importing electricity from abroad.

He pointed out that “there is evasion from the competent authorities and not accepting the proposals submitted by us that these parties continue to corrupt them through the investment of electricity,” noting that “Iraq is able, within less than a year, to produce white oil instead of importing it from abroad.”

He noted that “the best proposals made by the competent authorities in the government to attract international companies to establish white oil refining stations instead of buying it from abroad, but the proposal was rejected.”
