On Sunday, legal expert Hashem Al-Oqabi considered that the draft budget was revealed to the public before sending it to Parliament and voting on it as a legal and constitutional violation, and Parliament must hold Prime Minister Al-Kazemi and Finance Minister Muhammad Allawi accountable, stressing that Allawi’s exit in a press conference and with the approval of Al-Kazemi confused the street and caused a major crisis.
Al-Aqabi said in a press statement, that “the government and its finance minister, Muhammad Allawi, have no right to disclose the draft budget to public opinion before it is approved by the House of Representatives.”
