A source familiar with the matter said that the reason for the failure of Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi to form the government was the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr
The source said that Muhammad Allawi held a meeting with the leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Masoud Barzani, in Arbil, in the presence of a number of politicians.
The source added that Muhammad Allawi agreed to give the Kurds a number of ministries in his government, provided that his cabinet was passing, taking into account the nomination of unknown parties.
But meeting the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, blew everything up when the Sharqiya channel met him, as Sadr adopted the outputs and entrances of this government and made himself the guardian of it.
