Talabani and Maliki meet in Baghdad and confirm partnership

Erbil, May 11 / May (Rn) – met with Iraqi President Jalal Talabani, Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki on Friday to discuss the crisis and stressed the importance of partnership between all the forces. Iraq is gripped by political crisis since the withdrawal of U.S. troops in late last year. The leaders are seeking to be resolved through a conference called by Talabani for reconciliation. said a presidential statement that Talabani and Maliki, who met in Baghdad in search of “all the political problems encountered in the process of building the state.” The two leaders stressed “the need to overcome through joint action and understandings of national based on the Constitution and agreements and working papers raised through a national meeting and to ensure everyone’s participation in rebuilding Iraq and providing pathways political process. ” The statement said that Talabani and Maliki stressed also on “the importance of working actively to overcome the problems and to help in creating a positive atmosphere for dialogue in order to reach practical solutions.” Murtaza Yousuf
