The government of the Kurdistan region of Iraq, said in a statement Friday that revenues from the first shipment of oil from Kurdistan transported via a pipeline to Turkey will be deposited in the creation of the Turkish Bank.
The statement added that the Kurdistan oil exports from the Turkish port of Ceyhan will continue despite the opposition of the Iraqi central government, which asserts that such sales are illegal.
The oil and gas laws the main problems between Baghdad and Arbil, which entered into a large number of contracts with foreign companies, despite opposition from the federal government.
