2-28-2014 Intel/Newshound Guru Poppy3 HE [MALIKI] HAS CONTINUALLY CREATED TURMOIL TO PREVENT ANY PARLIAMENT PROGRESS AND MEETING WHERE THE BUDGET IS ON THE AGENDA WHILE HE CONTINUES TO PUSH WHAT HE NEEDS TO KEEP HIM SAFE IF HE SHOULD LOSE THE ELECTION. IF HE FAILS TO GET THE AMNESTY LAW PASSED THEN HE MUST FIND A WAY LEGAL OR ILLEGAL TO WIN THE ELECTIONS. THAT MEANS HE MUST GAIN FAVOR WITH THE CITIZENS OF IRAQ AND THAT MEANS HE HAS TO CALL TURKI AND TELL HIM TO TURN LOOSE THE VALUE OF THE DINAR.
2-28-2014 Newshound Guru wmawhite [new guru] Years ago I used to get excited over rumors/intel…not anymore. Today because of the FACTS I am confident about this happening relatively soon. I concentrate upon what we know that is coming from the CBI/WB/IMF/GOI and because of their actions they have painted themselves into a corner and they must take action in the NEAR term to resolve the currency issues. Again, near term…that is much sooner then April 2014.
2-28-2014 Newshound Guru wmawhite …this is coming together everyday right in front of us…this is a process that is planned and executed correctly. the actions that the CBI and GOI have now taken would not be done unless everthing else is ready to be put into place when needed. they have sucked the IQD off the streets and have required it to be used nation wide…what is left is to put the LDs out but only at a new rate. Just IMO, we will see the rate before we se the budget. Therefore, we are close.

2-28-2014 Intel Guru Ray Here is an update on the Maliki news conference today. He told the people that they are giving the Kurds one last chance to sit down and vote on the Budget and if they don’t, Parliament will vote on the Budget sometime next week with a majority vote; Kurds or no Kurds. He said that the government only has enough money left to pay salaries for another month to two months and that is it. After that, no more payroll payments or other government services will be paid. He said it is imperative that this Budget gets voted on as soon as possible so monies can be distributed as soon as possible. I think this is great news and I really hope that Maliki sticks by his guns and gets this done once and for all. I will keep you posted on any other news I may hear.
2-27-2014 Newshound Guru Kaperoni I wanted to…comment on an article…the one that talks about the US holding up monetary reforms? I wanted to say..I agree 100% with Millionday. She is correct. There is no reporters name on that article nor is the source given. As well, there is no proof of anyone in the US that is interfering in Iraq’s monetary policy, in fact just the opposite. Several articles over the years from the US Embassy in Iraq encouraging them to move forward with currency reforms. In fact today, we have one…I also sent this article to 3 different people…All three said the same thing..which was that in essence…Iraq’s economy is to small for the US to interfere, and more importantly hold Iraq back or keeping the dinar weak is of no benefit to the US. On the contrary, a strong dinar benefits not only Iraq, but the the US. So based on these opinions, and the article…I say whomever put this our was simply wrong or misinformed.

If it IS, I think we are in BIG trouble!] I don’t think this means we are in trouble, but it doesn’t surprise me at all. That’s how these kids play!
2-27-2014 Newshound Guru Aggiedad77 Article: “Parliamentary Finance: It is not permitted to interfere in central bank policy” Yesssss…someone within the government is finally waking up to the fact that they can’t get their grimy corrupt hands on the money in the CBI…two different entities.
2-27-2014 Newshound Guru Millionday Quote: “A member of the Liberal block of the Sadrist movement Bahaa al-Araji, said he would present a request to the Federal Court to give its opinion on the problem of the financial budget for the current year of 2014.” there are reports out that state that the budget may not be done right away with the stunt of taking the salaries of the Kurdistan government — the thing is that CBI does have the power at this point and always to set the exchange rates and we have been seeing the steps that we expect to see in that process. they made the order yesterday to make the dinar the only acceptable currency within the country`s borders – if that call has been actually done that is huge.
2-27-2014 Newshound Guru Millionday [Dont you think The banks need to move into conventional banking business and forget the auctions of the past?] i do think they need to move forward with the entire package of bank reforms and according to what i am seeing with international compliance and the private banking steps — they seem to be moving to just that. they will be taking in the USD in the country if this is what they are doing with the dinar being the only currency — we should be able to tell by the auction report it would seem to me it would be an abnormal amount to look for.
2-27-2014 Newshound Guru Aggiedad77 Article: “Because of the deficit .. warnings from the International Monetary Fund objection on the budget” The IMF is still warning Iraq about issues they see with their 2014 budget especially as it deals with the potential deficit of $35 billion dollars…the World Bank is also sending up flags, stating that they may face serious economical and financial issues as a result…in reading this article….I had a revelation of sorts about these warnings that we have been reading about in the past couple of weeks….these have all been aimed at the GOI….not the CBI…I find that somewhat telling….they must still be pleased with the efforts of the CBI or there would be warnings to them as well….just some food for thought.
