The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Saturday that the U.S. State Department’s “Rewards for Justice” program is offering a reward of up to $20 million for information related to Iran’s nuclear program, with the possibility of providing safe passage for those who provide information.
The announcement stated that the information requested includes facilities and equipment related to the Iranian nuclear program, and the people working in it, including scientists and specialized personnel, as well as any information regarding the movements of those facilities, equipment and people.
The announcement comes as part of the United States’ efforts to obtain information about Iran’s nuclear program, by encouraging people with relevant information to provide it in exchange for financial rewards and the possibility of moving to a safe place.
In contrast, Iran is considering Qatari proposals to bring its views closer with Washington regarding its nuclear program, but it links the resumption of negotiations to the implementation of demands that include lifting the American blockade on ports, releasing its frozen assets, lifting sanctions, and compensating for war damages, according to what was reported by the Associated Press.
