Most disputes resolved… Parliament prepares to vote on vacant ministerial posts

MP Riyadh al-Khafaji announced on Sunday that the issue of vacant ministerial posts is nearing resolution and the government formation is nearing completion. He confirmed that a parliamentary session will be held next week to vote on the remaining ministerial nominees.
Al-Khafaji told the Information Agency that “the intensive political negotiations over the past few days have led to resolving most of the obstacles and problems that were hindering the completion of the cabinet,” adding that “the atmosphere among the concerned blocs has become positive and characterized by understanding.”
He further stated that “reaching advanced consensus formulas among the political forces has paved the way for setting a decisive date, with the House of Representatives scheduled to hold an official session next week to vote on approving the new ministers and granting them constitutional confidence.”
Al-Khafaji pointed out that “completing the ministerial team is an urgent necessity to end the administrative vacuum and allow the government to operate at full capacity to implement its ministerial program and the service and development programs that the public is anticipating.”
