The head of the National State Forces Alliance, Ammar al-Hakim, announced on Wednesday that the 2027 budget will include an allocation of five trillion dinars for the development of the regions in Iraq.
Al-Hakim said in a press conference held after his meeting with the local government in Kirkuk Governorate that this amount will stimulate projects and sustain the reconstruction process, praising all the efforts made to maintain stability in Iraq and the economic, social and political achievements that have been made, and the steps that have been taken to address the problem of weapons outside the framework of the state.
He stressed that the role of state departments protects the political system and strengthens national unity and is not limited to services only, calling for the importance of seeing development and coexistence in the daily lives of citizens, and pointing to the state of war in the region and the direct damage to Iraq from it at the economic level.
Al-Hakim added that the government focused in the previous stage on paying salaries and dues to farmers and contractors in order to stimulate the economy, invest in the land, provide job opportunities, food and social security, and advance service projects, expressing his hope that the region’s crisis would end soon because it affects the global economy, and predicting that a settlement to this crisis is imminent.
