Informed sources revealed on Saturday that five legal cases, mostly involving current members of parliament, will be presented to the relevant courts in Baghdad this week for a ruling based on the available evidence.
The source explained to Al-Maalomah that “five cases, mostly involving current members of parliament, will be presented to the relevant courts in Baghdad this week for a ruling, either conviction or acquittal, based on the available evidence.”
The source added that “all those arrested in these cases were detained more than three months ago, either in and around the Green Zone or in other areas, and the cases are nearly ready for presentation to the courts.”
The source indicated that “the names of those to be referred are still unknown, but the files are nearly complete and are scheduled to be presented to the relevant courts in the coming days.”
